To my colleagues in service in public and private schools, I know what you all face every day when you walk into your classroom.
I am aware of the challenges, the frustrations, the daily highs and lows.
You can certainly get ideas from using my books that I am advertising on my website. And I hope that in some way they will help you.
However, if you just need to talk to another educator who has been through it all, and who understands, I am here for you.
Sometimes just having a conversation together can be the help that you need.
In today’s world in the educational arena, supervisors are equally overwhelmed. So, that tends to leave you unsupported.
I want to be that support for you. I want to be there to give you my time and maybe even some suggestions that might help.
I will be there for you like the “Senior” teachers who were there for me the first day of teaching in the inner city.
I will be there for you to navigate when some parents might be overwhelmed with their own lives and cannot be the source that you need for your students.
Teaching is filled with extremes including the rocky roads as well. I want you to feel that someone is out there just for you…to talk…to touch base together. To give you validation for what you are experiencing.
No judgments. Just the both of us talking together about the challenges that you are facing and how overwhelmed you might be. And how you and I together can address the situation and give you some relief.
As a past supervisor and director of a School of the Arts, helping my staff to be comfortable in their positions and making their experiences into positive ones was the most important component of my job. I want to do the same for you.
